it will be hard to tell since nobody has one yet... they ship in July...

I'm opposed to the concept... if I'm out in the wilderness where I feel I need a stove for something then I won't need anything electronic... I need electronics when I'm not trying to get away... I heavily mock people that whip out their phones on a camping trip...

however, I can see the home version being useful for power outages and backyard bbq's...

but I'm vegan, so I don't really need to cook anything... but warm things are nice sometimes...

There are plenty of safety reasons one might carry electric devices out in the woods.
The only thing that comes to mind now is having to call 911 to get your family airlifted to a hospital after eating hallucinogenic "glitterberries".

I'd be concerned about the fuel.

I love wood fires, but twigs, and forest duff do not make a long lasting fire. Looks like you might have to take your food off and load it through the top. It will burn hot though with a fan pushing air in though.

Some places may restrict collecting firewood... and I might not want to be the first person to try and convince them twigs are not firewood.

It will probably leave coals behind. Will it be affected by Fire Bans?

Bit Bulky and heavy, but I'd love one for bike or canoe camping.
