SE to Sauvie Island?

I was thinking of taking a ride out to Sauvie Island. Anyone know of a nice ride out to Sauvie Island. Should I just ride along 30 the whole way? Was maybe thinking of going to the beaches is that doable in a day trip? Advice?

I checked mapmyride.com and didn't find much.
