Routes in Vancouver, WA?

Hi all,

for some time I've been thinking about riding up tp Vancouver and exploring the area there, so I want to ask:

What is the best way to get across the river? Is there a bike path?
Does anyone have suggestions for good routes once I get there?

A website would be appreciated too :]

... I live in the SW Portland/Tigard area.
