Springwater Corridor After Dark

Another guy here....

Someone mentioned feeling unsafe on the Esplanade a few posts back. Do others here share this fear? My partner rides home on it 5 nights a week or so after 10 and has never had a problem. I do worry about her though.

I was curious to know if Jonathan or anyone else has statistics on assaults happening on the bike trails? Particularly on women being attacked, though info on all reported crime would be nice to know. Assaults, muggings, etc.

Three a year, a hundred, none? Anyone know?

To be clear, I am not implying that if there have been no reported problems, that there is no reason to be aware and stay safe. I just want to know if there is any public info about the relative safety of the bike paths.....
