Default "Every dent tells a story after a crash"

http://www.heraldnet.com/article/201...WS01/711119935

After any car/bike crash article there are comments about how long the investigation takes, why there isn't more information available sooner, etc. That article (by Rikki King of the Everett Daily Herald) talks about the Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) and how they go about investigating serious collisions, and why it takes so long. It's not terribly in-depth, it's WA not OR, it's focused on cars and car/car collisions, and it doesn't talk about the cultural biases which go into police conclusions where bikes and peds are involved, but it does help explain how complicated such investigations can be and why it takes awhile to reach conclusions, and that's helpful for me to hear.
