Anyone here like gardens?
Not my shot (wish it were ... .), or that I could be there to see it for real, but it's kind of fun to look at the picture. The plants do look very good and lush in the picture. Portland has one vertical wall garden of note that I can think of at the moment...name of the hotel courtyard its at slips my mind at the moment...on about SW 6th and Jefferson, I think. Interesting, but not nearly so good looking as this one from Mexico City. Simple Nature...What was that you were saying about steep climbs? How's your bent set for gearing to ride this one? Ah-well...it's just art! ![]() Rodrigo Cruz for The New York Times It's from a New York Times article about some of Mexico City's creative efforts to tackle its air pollution problems. Lush Walls Rise to Fight a Blanket of Pollution By DAMIEN CAVE/NYTimes Caption to the picture is: "A vertical garden at the Restaurant Padrinos in Mexico City is part of a wider effort to improve the city's notoriously bad air." |
