Thumbs up Westside riders, please participate!

Washington Co. is asking for input. An interactive map will let you voice your wishes and concerns in an open "forum". Go to the ingteractive map and take a sticky and place it on the map and add comments.

Hint; place the sticky and click next to sticky on the left side of the screen and it should open edit mode. Once the sticky is placed, I haven't found a way to move it or delete it.

Please voice your interests.

Nice, had a few to add. Looks like from the below comment on the page there is a month to get stuff added.

PLEASE PROVIDE COMMENTS ON THE INVENTORY MAPS BY JANUARY 1, 2012

Since when did Millikan and Watson have a 5ft bike lane? (Millikan to Canyon, and beyond). Did they change it in the last year?

I found a similar snafu on Cornelius Pass on the north end. I emailed the people on the page and I got a quick reply. They appreciate input about errors. Kinda surprised me that this kind of data could have such errors. Go ahead and post the error on the map, and optionally follow up with an email.

Default Faulty GIS data set

I've noticed some curious map errors.
Like the extra road between Hall and Lombard on the north side of Millikan way. The road is marked unimproved road on the supplied WashCo map and
extends north through the MAX line up in to the apartment complex to the north.
In reality (and on both Google Maps and Open Street Maps) the road is called SW Water St and ends behind Beaverton All Transmission Service Co
(12295 Southwest Millikan Way) 100' before the stream and 175' before the MAX rail line.

Because of this and other esoterica that only a cartographically obsessed autistic would notice I dug up old USGS editions.

Highlighted area surrounds 1984 alignment of SW Water Ave going north at the east terminus of SW Millikan. It seems to have been continuous before 1960 in the alignment that places it where SW Lombard intersects with SW Center.

There seem to be many on these "minor" errors. So many however add up to a safety issue in that critical decisions will be made on inaccurate map data.

Hopefully WashCo didn't pay for this erroneous GIS data set.
