Exclamation Blind Corner problem on SW Canyon at Westgate

In my commute over the west hills, I often take SW Canyon Ct. to the Sunset MUP. Problem is, at night, when I want to turn off of Canyon (at SW Westgate Dr.), and get on the MUP, I can't tell if the lights behind me are from a car coming up behind me, or from a car on the freeway. Also, I can't hear the cars coming up because of all the noise from the freeway (I don't use headphones).

Seems to me, the solution is simple, some low shrubs, or those plastic light blockers, placed along the outside of the curve would block the lights from the freeway, and improve my chances of seeing a car coming up on me.

Sorry I only have daylight photos, as my camera is getting flaky and my flash is n/f.
