Starting things off
Hey folks,
i don't spend nearly as much time in here as i should, but want to say thanks very much for contributing to these Forums. I heard loud and clear all the feedback about wanting a Forum just to talk about West Side issues... so here you go! To get things started, perhaps you'd like to read (or re-read) the article I did following a tour of the West Side with Mr. K'Tesh. http://bikeportland.org/2009/05/28/a...ung-bike-hero/ cheers and thanks again for being a member of these forums.

Very cool to see a West side forum. I live in SW Portland and bike to Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin and Wilsonville quite a bit. I spend a lot of time on 99, Hall and other smaller roads in SW.
We definitely have a different reality than the East side, but we get to stay in better shape thanks to all the hills.
