Any preferred routes from Mt. Tabor to Milo McIver park? Is S. Springwater Rd. a good road to take ?

I haven't ridden Springwater Rd., but traffic volumes are near 3,000 per day according to the Clackamas Co. traffic info. - that's pushing my traffic tolerance a bit for a higher speed, no shoulder road.
