Exclamation Craigslist... Prevent your bike from being stollen

In Jonathan's article Beware of test-riding crook on Craiglist, the suggestion on methods of protecting yourself from becoming a victim was added to the comments... I got a 500 server error when I tried to post, and someone beat me to my recommendation when it came back up.

Take a picture of the "buyer" with a camera, phone or otherwise, and if the person complains, say it's for insurance, if they get offended, they can walk.

Credit Cards and ID cards can be faked, so don't accept them.

And do your transaction in a public place to prevent yourself from being robbed by force.

Protect yourself, and Be safe!
