Hello, my name is David I'm 23. I'm just starting to find out about all the cool places to ride around the Portland area. Yesterday was the longest trip I have taken (just a little over 30 miles) my friend in Vancouver couldn't believe that I showed up on his door step. What a fun ride it was! I was wondering if someone could tell me a decent route to Sauvie Island from the Gresham area. Also I'm thinking I might be tackling the 40 Mile loop tomorrow, anyone have any advise on doing that trip?

I'd take the Springwater Corridor from Gresham to Sellwood, take the Springwater up to the Steel Bridge. Cross the Steel Bridge and get on Front Street. Take Front Street north to highway 30 (you head north and look for a quick left and then a quick right after you go past the shipping places). Take highway 30 north to Sauvie Island.
