Whats the best way to get back to Kenton (Interstate and Lombard) from Sellwood after dark? I don't want to take the Springwater or the Esplenade at night.

I used to do that commute, prior to the Esplenade's existence, as such:
HWY 99 North Right on Mill (just past the Goodwill) Left on 7th Ave Right on Sandy Left on 12th Right on Lloyd Left on Broadway (Sometimes Sacramento, San Rafael, etc) Right on williams Left on Portland (sometimes residential roads before crossing I-5 there or Alberta, Killingsworth or Skidmore) right on Denver. Have you considered crossing the Sellwood and bearing right, go to the Marina parking lot and dive through the trail that goes through Willamette Park, behind all the offices along the river, down through SoWat connect up with Waterfront park? cross the Steel and pick up Interstate and follow interstate through to Kenton?
Unless your reluctance to Springwater/Esplanade is the relatively unlighted and remote nature. |
