Commuting route-Bethany area to inner SE

Any thoughts? I could bike to max but I am hoping for more of a workout each day. I know how to get over Sylvan and down below Washington park, but from there to SE Grand and Morrison I have no idea by bike (keeping safety in mind). Or, if there are better routes than that, even if they are longer.

I take this route home from Beaverton when the weather is nice. I prefer less of a downhill in wet weather. Hewett is less crowded than Humphery and a bit less uphill. You regain that on Patton. The Talbot Greenway loop is safer than directly to Montgomery down Patton. Note it is an uphill left then a qiuck right onto Montgomey. At the bottom of the hill just South of the Bridge the crossing of Patton on Montgomery is a bit tricky. It's Uphill with a bit of a blind corner coming from the cyclist left. Not bad, just be careful.
You end up on the west side of PSU. Due to downtown construction the best route will vary, but I just did this last week..
