I was wondering about that - I see SO many people out there on weekends when I'm running it (I am a runner before I am a cyclist, I'm afraid), and I was wondering if there are still quite a few on it early in the morning. I pretty much don't have to be out until 8 am - my first class is at 10 - are there quite a few commuters on it by then? I am a bit spooked by an instance a friend told me about, when he was riding to work on it a couple of years ago and actually came across a woman who said she'd been assaulted by some teenagers there. Again though...weighing potential attacks against the likelihood of accidents on sellwood bridge...I think I'll take those potential attacks.
