maybe help
I'd take the steel bridge and ride down the east side cause i think its nice. then I'd do what you were saying and take clinton over to 41st to 43rd to 42nd (zigzagging). Then, when you get to 42nd south of powell i'd try and take a neighborhood street to the side.....
