Default Nice Civic

I've got one for you...today, at lunch, southbound on SW 170th just south of Merlo Road. The road narrows to no shoulder or bike lane as you cross the bridge over Beaverton Creek. I'm waiting until the last safe moment to claim the lane when...

Wow! This metallic blue Honda Civic is waiting for me to take the lane! I gave a wave as the shoulder reopened after the bridge.

See, I do notice the polite drivers!

The driver of a motor vehicle may only pass a person operating a bicycle by driving to the left of the bicycle at a safe distance and returning to the lane of travel once the motor vehicle is safely clear of the overtaken bicycle.
