mom always said "fair smells like pigs."

what poser said. the driver never, never, never gets cited this fast in bike-car collisions. sometimes it's "pending an investigation", but usually it's just accepted that whoopsie, "didn't see...

Wink my pedestrian license

i like ya wsbob, but should we get licenses to walk around, too? cars kill 40,000+ cyclists, pedestrians, and other drivers every year -- that is why we require licenses. cars hurt other people. ...

cycling is hard enough

people on bikes are doing something great for the environment and the american health care system, at no small risk to themselves from bad drivers. if we start requiring licenses, it's one more...

i doubt most drivers are bigots

your concern for your fellow cyclist's safety is admirable, but i'm tired of the argument that if one cyclist ever breaks the law anywhere, all drivers get a free pass to hate all of us at all times....

petition

a_O, i'll sign said petition in a heartbeat. i'm appalled that rather than do his job and *enforce* the law broken in both these fatal crashes, kruger decided he's a lawmaker who should *change* the...

i suspect one of my housemates has been beating the shit of my bike, 'cause i've had to have a spoke fixed three times this year, and i'm no kind of curb hopper.

ouch!!!

on roads, bikes are subject to most of the same laws as cars. that guy would be in serious trouble. causing an accident by driving as fast as he could in the wrong lane around a blind corner while...

to a speedy recovery

thank goodness you were wearing a helmet! glad you're okay(ish), and i hope you find out more about what happened. drivers are responsible for looking before they open their doors, so if you can...

re-phrasing, maybe even less clearly

i think the law was clear (and helpful! thanks, billd!). but if you don't know downtown geography, maybe it's not so clear. to re-phrase it, you have to ride on the street in a long rectangle whose...
