Vancouver bike advocacy meeting on Friday!
Leah has offered the use of her gallery downtown for a small meeting to get things moving. Kind of a brainstorming/consolidation meeting for those of us all interested in the same thing but not in an organized fashion. It'll be in the evening, so people can get there after work. Hope you can make it!

"It had never even occurred to me that Vancouver's conservative anti-planners would even have considered putting a supermarket anywhere within a short biking distance of residential neighborhoods. Just think of the inconvenience if people could get to the store by means other than a single-occupancy vehicle!"

Not quite... It's the Safeway on Main street that's been there since the dawn of time! One of the last neighborhood grocery stores in Vancouver. Hopefully it'll be around a while longer.
