So I bought a pretty nice BMX bike a while ago and am still getting around to learning it. My problem is that none of my friends ride and this kind of goofing around demands more then one person. Anyhow, this is me reaching out to the bike community. See you out there.

hey mofo,

I don't ride a bmx bike (too hard on my arthritic knees) but I wonder if you know about Gary and his BMX Museum?

I wrote about it last summer:

And here's a little photo gallery:

Gary is a nice guy. you should drop him a line via his contact form:

you might also drop a post in the Zoobomb Forums. I know some of them like to ride bmx and they're all about fun - http://www.zoobomb.net/forum/

and have you been up to Pier Park? you might find some BMX pals up there. I went to opening day and did this report:

cheers!

Thanks jonathan I'll check those places out.

Also, no it's not a fixed gear. A BMX bike is basically a small extremely durable bike. Think of it like the mountain bike's more punk rock midget brother.
