From Lents to downtown, didn't fall once! There were a half dozen times when my bike slipped out from under me coming to a stop, but I stayed upright.
No work today, tho. And I was 16 minutes late to pick up my ATM eaten debit card from the downtown WaMu (blankety blanks). And PCC cancelled all classes.
But I made it downtown!

My Breezer seemed to handle better than the chainless front wheel drive cars I saw.

I got out the mountain bike with the mud knobies and made it in without falling. I rode from Hillsdale to Beaverton. I saw cars spinning, sliding, and in the ditch on the way. Several people wanted to know how the bike worked in the snow.
Some were amazed and I ran across another mountain biker while out. I even had one person tell me "why would anyone ride a motorcycle in the snow." I guess the fenders and full suspension confused her.

I made it to work - Sunnyside Road and 105 to Lloyd Center. At work by 6:45 - 15 minutes early. I did not make it home. I barely made it to 3rd Ave and Pine to catch my bus.

i switched the tires on my mtb today from some modest knobbies to some huge i-could-not-ever-possibly-need-so-many-knobbies knobbies. i filled the front to 45psi and the rear to 50psi and didn't slip once. it was awesome! i just rolled over the packed tracks with no problem.

Good 'ol Mt. bike :)
I rode to work all three days in the snow and slush, on my beautiful old Peugeot ATB. Best of all were the stares of disbelief from drivers along my commute.
