View Full Version : A polite close call?

Heading west on BHH, a motorist coming to a red light (on my right) didn't stop until across the bike lane. Luckily the outside lane of traffic was clear and I was able to swerve around him. He turned and headed the same direction as I was, upon catching me he rolled down his window and apologized. Many motorists stop further than they should at intersections, making it dangerous for cyclists and ped's, this is the first I have heard an apology, I don't think it would of helped if I had gone over his hood though.

I am glad you are alright. BHH this time of year is a mess. The gravel sucks,
the rain drains suck, and the cars suck even more. Good thing the guy apologized; lets hope more autos follow the example. BTW, watch the ice patch starting the downhill by New Seasons going east.

Good seeing you the other morning going the opposite way as me on BHH.
Stay safe and lets hope our orange frames keep us seen!
