SW Broadway, inner downtown

I appreciate the fact that sw broadway has a bike lane and feel safe riding with the moving traffic. I have had several close calls with drivers leaving the hotel parking garages. I understand that the visibility is limited, it would be nice if the hotel management would place signs alerting drivers that there is a bike lane just past the parking strip. This would most likely only help a little but, even one driver a day using more caution would be a plus.

no one ever looks...i just ride in the street on broadway. if you look at the "failure to use bicycle lane" section of the oregon bike law, one of the exceptions to that rule is "avoiding debris or other hazardous conditions". i think that car doors constantly opening and people pulling out of garages are hazardous.
