It doesn't look comfortable but the same could be said of a helmet.

I'm waiting for the full bike ellipsoid cyclist protection system.
Sure it would add many pounds and many many $$$ but think if we cyclists were able to truly ride around with the lack of care that auto drivers have.

Oops, my cycnic was showing.

It would actually be good once the technology gets worked out, cheaper and lighter.
Then again I think all cop car chases could be made history if the military just gave them small EMP weapons to disable criminal's cars.

Ah technology: it all ways looks weird at first.

If you could keep it from going off when un-necessary.

I don't think it would keep people from screaming "where's your helmet?" whilst buzzing you.

I do appreciate the 'it always looks weird at first' comment though, remember the bike helmets from the 70's?
