so I learned about the SE 48th Ave Pedestrian Trail (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=SE+Pedestrian+Trail+and+SE+Sherman+St,+Portland, +OR&sll=45.507324,-122.6127&sspn=0.008271,0.013239&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=SE+Sherman+St+%26+SE+Pedestrian+Trail,+Portl and,+Multnomah,+Oregon+97215&ll=45.506648,-122.612936&spn=0.008271,0.013239&z=16) between SE Division and SE Lincoln via Google bike directions... what an awesomely cute little diversion!

the part between Sherman and Lincoln recently reopened now that the folks on Lincoln are done with their fireplace repairs...

looks like there might also be one connecting SE Glenwood between SE 47th (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=SE+Glenwood+%26+SE+47th,+Portland,+OR&sll=45.47455,-122.613588&sspn=0.008276,0.013239&g=SE+Pedestrian+Trail,+Portland,+Multnomah,+Oregon +97206&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=SE+47th+Ave+%26+SE+Glenwood+St,+Portland,+Mu ltnomah,+Oregon+97206&ll=45.474878,-122.614063&spn=0.004138,0.00662&z=17) and SE 48th....

does anybody know about more of these little hidden pedestrian trails?

something like klickitat from 10th or 11th to maybe 14th? i use it often but i guess i never pay attention to what street it is or where it starts and stops. i just know where it's at when i'm biking.

That's a fun little hidden connexion you found - I live in the neighborhood and try to use it as often as possible. There"s another nice one nearby on Taylor? Or so between 53rd and 55th, unpaved variety.

The neighborhood maps that PBoT puts out may be a good source for ID"ing these scruffer trails.

There were Pedalpalooza Rides this year that toured little shortcut trails in both NE and SE.

The guy leading them also had a Google Maps setup showing them. Don't know if you could get a link from the Pedalpalooza archives (if they have one).
