What's the best way to remove the sticky stuff from my handlebars? I've had the same grip tape for a while --like 2 or 3 years-- if that makes any difference.
Thanks!

Try Goo-Gone (http://www.magicamerican.com/googone/product/c7f8659a-40a3-412c-9f1c-03108e6a30db.aspx).
It works rather well on stubborn adhesive remains.

yes Goo Gone, and you can sometimes find it at the dollar tree. If not most grocery stores or Home Depot.
WD-40 works as a pretty good cleaner, too.
Simple Green or nail polish remover (acetone) is also good for this.
Regardless of what you end up using, you might use a rag or old newspaper to cover your rims, braking surfaces, and moving parts -- keep any overspray or drips from getting where it shouldn't and make clean-up easier.

I've had good results with goo-gone and acetone.
I don't bother anymore, however. New tape seems to stick to crusty old glue just fine and covers it up so no one sees it.

sweet! I have simple green and acetone on hand, I'll try those out first (well, not together). I was told to just avoid WD-40 in general, though I can't remember exactly why.
Thanks for the suggestions!
