Ortlieb Panniers ?

I need some help deciding which Ortlieb panniers to go with. I just called Ortlieb and the panniers I wanted are no longer available in blue (the Bike Packer Plus and the Front Roller Plus). They were available in blue last year (2008 ), but new panniers have come out for 2009.

Now they have the Classic Bike Packer and Classic Front Roller. Does anyone have and use those panniers? What do you have to say?

I would really appreciate any serious comments. I need to get my panniers as soon as possible. Thanks.

FYI, I just got a flyer from REI in the mail - they are having a big sale starting May 1. I see the Ortlieb Backroller Classic is on sale for $120 (down from their regular price of $165).

I know the Ortlieb stuff is nice and will last a lifetime, but when I pick up some waterproof panniers it's going to be a set of Axiom bags, which are a fraction of the cost. I found some locally in Portland on sale for $60/pair.
