Does anyone use the Asus Eee PC 1000HE for touring? I'm still researching which netbook to get to carry while touring, and bike camping, or just riding around town. Mostly I'll be using a netbook for journaling, uploading pictures of my travels, e-mail, surfing.

A friend of mine has one of the Eee PCs, and he likes it. Although I have to say when I've tried using it the keyboard drives me totally insane, so make sure you know what you're getting into with that.

Where will you be staying? How will you charge it? When I go touring and bike camping this summer, I'm just planning on camping, so I don't think it would be too easy for me to do. Any ideas?

Are solar chargers actually worth it?

A friend of mine is riding from San Diego to Florida right now, and he's posting updates using a Dell Mini 9 (http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/laptop-inspiron-9) computer. So far, so good: http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/Slug
