with respect, that's too much work. Question marks and periods generally get the point across, are standard on every keyboard, and don't require extra hunting around for approved icons.

In an ideal world this would be a fine idea, but I doubt 90%+ of users will read this post first to know to follow the guideline. If you can't get the forum software to make it happen automatically, I also think it's unlikely to work (with all due respect).
