technically the bicyclist in front of the Prius could be said to be in violation of (ORS 814.420: Failure to use bicycle lane or path)....but nowhere in the text of the law does it give the driver of the oncoming vehicle the right to be a big jerk about it. :)

The bike lane was a bit crowded, thus making We the cyclists traffic, and I seem to remember that it was suffering from lots of gravel, so taking the lane should be justifiable.

And I seem to remember that there's a change in the law that expressly allows drivers to safely cross the center line to safely pass cyclists.
