Here's a tip for my companion year-round commuters:

Set up a bike wash station at your workplace.

After ten wet miles of commuting, my bike often arrives at work looking like I've just finished a cyclocross race. We're given the liberty of parking our bikes inside our offices or in a hallway at my workplace, but it feels like I'm pushing the welcome when I haul that grimy thing inside each morning. The answer? A "bike wash" station next to an outdoors faucet that consists of a short (9') length of hose and a spray attachment, a wash bucket, and another bucket filled with a spray bottle of soapy water, several brushes and sponges, and a chamois to wipe the bikes down. I've had several co-workers see me doing the 30-second clean down before bringing the bike in and they've all thanked me for helping cut down on winter debris tracked into the building.
