I am really intrigued by the longtail bikes with Xtracycle attachments that I have seen around. I'm wondering if you can put one of these on TriMet. Do these bikes have other accessibility issues?

They are not going to fit onto the max hook. My 10 speed will come within an inch of rubbing its fender on the ground. (It is a long bike, but probably still not as long as a longtail).

Use of other areas on are highly dependent on max riders and security on the day... and highly debated.

Buses? No idea. I do not like buses, so I have not put my bike on one.

I know that my long wheelbase recumbent isn't welcome on MAX, and won't fit the bike rack on the buses. You may find the same is true of Xtracycles, although I don't think they are as long as mine. Here is what TriMet does allow:

I think someone showed that it was theoretically possible to put an Xtra onto a bus rack... I think it involved removing the front wheel and putting the bottom bracket in where the "front wheel" would've gone.
