Are there any local (Portland) boards that will take "for sale" items? I've got a bag and will be selling a bike later this summer.

Hi paulv,

Several people have wondered why I don't do Portland bike classifieds. My answer has always been that since Craigslist is so effective it wouldn't make any sense to do anything else.

I'm curious... do you (or anyone else) think that a classified section on this site would be a good idea?

I use Craigs list, but it's too broad to get a good response for something so specific - unless it's a car or something.

I'm new to your board, so I can't say that it's appropriate here, but the only other place I know of - or use - is Sellwood Cycle's used bike pages. My Timbuk2 bag was a "mis-order" and doesn't really fit on their postings.

I might just put up a poster at REI and the local shops.

Hey Jonathan,

I think you should do a classifieds section. Craigslist is a bit broad and perhaps not as community based as a listing area formed around your site.

I'm selling a bike and the first place I looked to post it was here.

I've got it posted on CL and on PUMP. Anyone have any other ideas for local sales? I'm going local before I hit up Ebay.

I think a clasified section on this website would be awesome!

craigslist is so amazingly oversaturated with crap i can hardly stand it. *awesome commuter bike* way too often is really a magna.

classifieds on here would be rad...or bikeads.org if it starts getting used by folks who have good things to sell.

i want sugino 75 track cranks.
