You want to see them get rid of bike lanes on 99W? You want them to revamp SW Burnham St. without bike lanes? Your city council is already talking about that kind of stuff...

NOW!!! IS THE TIME TO GET ACTIVE!!! Tigard's TSP is what they are planning for the next 10 years or so... Do you REALLY want another DECADE of putting up with what little you already have... Or, do you want MORE??? :confused:

Somebody simply needs to unseat the entire City Council of Tigard.

Often times Advisory Committees are only called for a feel-good session to ignore everything *advised*.

But if you slip in and are able to point out hazards, perhaps the legal guys will realize the liability issues and force the beancounters to loosen up. - K'Tesh

Clearly since the danger comes from motor vehicles, it should be motor vehicles that are restricted.

I think a lot of the roads I ride on would be much safer if motor traffic was restricted to official (government and utility) and apportioned (commercial including drayage, taxis, and delivery) vehicles.

Alternately, make them one way and add appropriate lanes for bikes. Consider Butner Road between Cedar Hills and Murray: make it one way westbound with bike lanes and sidewalks going both ways. What, it makes it less inconvenient for your motor vehicle? Hello? Motor vehicles are less convenient.
