Downtown to Happy Valley

I need to ride from Downtown to Happy Valley this evening after work.

Any recommendations on the best route?

bd, I'd do something like this:

you may prefer Flavel to Mt. Scott Blvd. for the climb up to H-V, but i find the traffic combined with lack of shoulder a bit unpleasant. There's less traffic on Idleman, plus i can relate to the street name...

I work out here in Happy Valley land but live in NE. So I do the reverse a lot when I go downtown after work for some R&R.
What I've found works best and safest is to take Springwater to 92nd. North on 92nd to Sunnyside and then east on Sunnyside to where ever you are going. Caution: beyond ~172nd there's a lot of construction on Sunnyside. I agree with missing Mt Scott unless you're looking for a tough training ride as part of the trip.
