I think I need to get a more frindly saddle.
Has anyone every had this problem?
Seems I have to ice everything after a weekend ride.
Cutting out wheat and sugar seems to help. any ideas?

New saddle and a good fitting that includes evaluating your pedaling dynamics would be a good first start.
Then you might want to look into different riding shorts.
You should be fatigued after a weekend ride, not so sore that you need to ice your filberts....that's plain wrong.

I'd agree that a good seat and a properly fitting bike are very important. I find that WTB seats (or saddles... whatever) fit my derriere darn well on my upright bikes.

Despite my appearance in "BENT" (as seen at Filmed By Bike), I have more uprights than recumbents. If things persist, consider a couch-bike:

My best friend was going numb. Yikes, I thought I was too young for that. Luck directed me to http://www.bycycleinc.com/ A local designer has developed a seat that solves this problem perfectly, if I get yer meanin'.
An idea that's come into it's time.
