Saturday 04/05 ECT Group Rides - Family Friendly "Slow & Easy" Ride

Sponsored by the Community Exchange Cycle Touring Club We leave no riders
behind.

Ideal for young riders and their parents, children being towed in trailers,
or anybody else looking for a ride set at a leisurely pace, this ride will
explore the Eastbank Esplanade with it's floating sidewalk, the Steel Bridge
and Waterfront Park, and will take in beautiful views of the Willamette
River on the way out to the less-explored Willamette Park.

Forecast: Chance of showers, mostly cloudy, expected high 53 degrees

Starting point: Madison Plaza (underneath east side of Hawthorne Bridge)

Ending point: Madison Plaza (This ride will return to the starting point)

Distance: 10 miles.

Expected Duration: 2-3 hours

Pace: Easy - pace will be set at the speed of the slowest rider, no rider
left behind

Assemble: 1 PM, Depart: 1:15 PM

Route Description: Up Eastbank Esplanade to Steel Bridge, cross Steel Bridge
lower deck and ride westbank path through Tom McCall Waterfront Park to
Willamette Greenway Trail. Follow trail to Willamette Park, return via same
route.
