Interesting article in today's Washington Post about the uptick in bike theft in the area. Depressingly, it doesn't sound like the police are anywhere with getting a handle on the who's & how's of the problem.

I'm impressed with the depth of detail in the story. It brings to mind the successful sting three friends pulled off in Portland this spring when they spotted a buddy's bike on Craigslist.
