Bicycle Repair Collective?

Hello all,

I just got a free bike. It's, I think, a late 80's model Centurion road bike. It needs some repairs though and I was wondering about the Bicycle Repair Collectives' reputation. Are they trustworthy? reliable? Do they have quality mechanics and service?

The BRC has been my neighborhood bike shop for 4 years, and I recommend them highly. They're low-key, honest, and excellent at what they do. And they have a nice atmosphere in the shop, I've never used their DIY bench but often see people doing so, and it looks like it's not a big hassle. Go for it!

Oh yeah, great place... which may be why they are busy. I was afraid I was down for the weekend, but they called the next day. Go in and do-it-yourself if you want an amusing afternoon of politics. Good people.
