This is an article that was posted on the Bent Rider forum. I've never noticed if this was actually implemented in Portland. Please have aquick look at this link:

I can see that one on a google map but it looks like a normal bike lane, not a shared car/bike lane.

See those little arrow shaped smudges? These look a little different, it's a bike in an arrow. Seems a little strange having them for a couple of blocks in the middle of a neighborhood. But 11th Street does make a nice connection between 98th Avenue and 86th depending on where you're headed. That's how I found 'em!

That's the idea, yes. It seems to have something to do with completing contiguous bike routes throughout metropolitan bike planning areas.

Nope, the right lane on that part of 18th is shared. It's covered by trees on Google Maps satellite view.
