accident witness: bike hit by car in Pearl

Hello:
I'm wondering if anyone saw me get hit by a car a few weeks ago; the driver's insurance company is giving me grief and I'd like to back up my account with witnesses.

July 10, Tuesday, the 100-degree day

5:20 p.m.

corner of NW 14th and NW Everett

I was riding north on NW 14th, and a driver turned right in front of me onto Everett.

Me: 46-year-old female, black road bike, white helmet, red shirt, black shorts

Her: gold Toyota Camry, young Asian-American woman.

I wasn't too badly hurt, and the bike is OK, but I want them to pay for my property damage, and they are saying it wasn't her fault.

Thanks to the woman who helped me up and called my friend for me, and I would appreciate it if anyone who saw the incident would post here.

Any chance that your friend has the woman's cell number still?

Anyway, I'm not at all surprised to hear that an insurance company is refusing to pay out-- that's how they operate-- but I'm glad to hear that you're OK. Have you been to a doctor? If you haven't you should, just to be sure...

My cell phone was used to call my friend, so I can't reach the woman that way.

I was taken to the emergency room, so I got all cleaned up there. I feel fine right now overall, but I need to have my nose checked out. It's hard to find an ear, nose and throat doc that takes accident victims! More phone calls ....
