Long Weekend Open Thread

Hey everyone. It’s been yet another very busy week here at BikePortland (we’ve published about 30 stories and over 600 comments just since Monday.)

Now we’re set to step away from the machines for a bit. Barring any major stories or stuff that just can’t wait, we’ll be quiet here (and on our always fun Twitter account) until Tuesday.

What do you have planned for the weekend? Please feel free to promote your events and share your adventures (or lack thereof) in the comments below.

Enjoy the weekend!

With the rain predicted, I figured it would be a good weekend to clean, lube & dial in my trusty commuter.
Maybe Sunday if it’s nice, a Springwater tour sounds good!

Recumbent races at PIR this weekend – rain or shine! We’re hoping for more shine than rain 🙂

When I’m president of Portland, I’m gonna outlaw houses havin’ that much garage comprising the front facade.

me too. though in theory they can be converted to studio or living space. Still ugly as sin though. (I don’t care if this is a non-sequiter re: weekend biking.)

My ideal house is a cube/box with a double garage/shop doors facing front, all the living space upstairs and all ground space behind the house as yard/garden. The only part of my property that’s a bigger waste of space than the front yard is the useless dark 4 feet between east wall and the fence.

Continuing to trek through Oregon: http://northwestwanderer.com – after 3 days of riding in the rain, it’s sunny here in Pacific City! Oh, and Cycle Wild ( http://cyclewild.org ) is biking to Eugene this weekend. I won’t get to Eugene until they after they leave, though. 🙁

Doesn’t that woman notice she’s dragging a huge tree limb caught in her rear deraileur?
