It really does a disservice to the cycling communtiy to spread this hostile meme that some people will believe.
It is sadly ironic that the cycling community is doing the work of spreading the opposition’s intellectual poison.
It’s called satire. Chill out.
So was q’Tzal’s comment. Even real terrorists have stopped using bike bombs because they’re not as effective as just dropping a grenade. Sure you can pack more explosive in a bike by a small amount, but shrapnel is what makes a grenade effective as a weapon and you average bike seat tube has less metal that your issue grenade. Bike bombs have been limited to targets that can’t be hit any other way, with the knowledge that you are probably only going to kill 2 people including the bike rider.
Maybe they are followers of Bob Fishell’s Spike Bike satire?

Interesting dichotomy.
The last cartoon used satire to poke fun at TriMet and their distracted drivers.
Those who thought it was over the top and insulting to hard working TriMet drivers were told to chill out.
Now the satire is on the other foot, and those that told the defenders of TriMet employees to chill out are getting their knickers in a knot.
I think this is a good indication that Markovich is fair in how he deals with subject matter on both sides of the issue.
With biting satire that is over the top, but contains a grain of truth.
I thought it was pointing out that we are starting to use the word “terroist” so much that Godwin’s Law may need updating. Both funny and spot-on
