Researchers at Portland State University are looking for interview subjects for a project on e-bikes. Jennifer Dill, an associate professor at the Nohad A. Toulan School of Urban Studies and Planning, got in touch with us with the news.
Dill says it’s a small, exploratory research project intended to further their understanding of the e-bike market and e-bike users. “This may lead to a larger study of the role e-bikes play in bicycle transportation.”

Have you purchased an electric bicycle? or converted your bike to electric-assist? What compelled you to purchase one and what do you use it for? Portland State University is researching e-bikes and is looking for people to interview to tell us about their experiences.
If you want to be a part of this study, contact Professor Dill and research assistant John Boren at ebikeresearch [at] pdx.edu. They’ll follow up to schedule an in-person, confidential interview that will last about 45 minutes.
After I became disabled I wanted to start riding again. With an e-bike I can ride without assist as far as I can until I get tired then use electric assist to get me home. That way I can work on improving my distance and still get back home.
