Three people hospitalized after North Portland collision

PORTLAND POLICE RESPONDING TO A COLLISION INVOLVING THREE PEDESTRIANS

At approximately 11:15 today, November 8, 2010, Portland Police responded to a collision on North Lombard Street near the intersection of North Interstate Avenue involving a vehicle and three pedestrians. All three persons to include a 4 year-old child were transported to the hospital. The 4 year-old is in critical condition with life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle is a male approximately 70 to 80 years of age. He has stopped and is cooperating with police. The Major Crash Team has been activated and is responding to the scene to continue this investigation.

Police have North Lombard Street blocked from North Montana Avenue to North Interstate Avenue to include the Astro lot gas station on the northwest corner of the intersection.
