Job Description: Portland Cardiology, a veterinary specialty practice providing state-of-the-art care for dogs and cats with heart disease, is seeking a full-time veterinary assistant.

We are looking for another to join our team, someone who is a kind and interested person. Experience in veterinary medicine is a big plus but not required for the right person. Skills in organization, communication, compassion and experience using a mac will all be helpful. A gentle hand with a scared cat will take you far. This is a field where emergencies are not the exception as much as an inevitability. Some days will go long. Things can be predictably unpredictable. Our days are interesting and varied and sometimes hard.
A great experience for anyone considering going into veterinary medicine, who is interested in cardiology, who would like to work with animals, or who just is ready to do work that matters. This is a full-time job, with a variable schedule, competitive pay, vacation, and benefits.
Our main location is easily reached by bicycle, just half a mile from the steel bridge in NW Portland. There is secure bike parking, showers, and the happiness of working with not just dogs but people who bike their dogs.
