Ride Report
OMSI’s first Pedalpalooza ride was great fun! About 40 of us started at the Muddy Rudder for those 21+(and not on the clock). Rode down to Sellwood Park for some liquid nitrogen ice cream. Birding at Oaks Bottom led to sightings of kingfishers, osprey, vultures, great blue herons and one bald eagle. Next stop riders got see see a demonstration of a home made generator using recycled hard hard dive magnet powered bike light and received instructions to take home. On to OMSI where Mentos and Pepsi exploded into the sky! Followed by some audience participatory chemistry demos behind PEPCO, the OMSI workshop. Riders then got to play with a trebuchets and various brainteasers. 5 lucky riders answered some trivia from the ride and won a pair of tickets each to OMSI After Dark.

Look for us again next year, who knows what will be in store!
