Mr. Mapes book is well-written and thoroughly researched. But it's difficult to read it without wanting to put it down and go for a ride! He makes a fantastic case for the transformative power cycling has to remake our cities. My only worry is that, for most readers, he's preaching to the choir. How can we get this book in the hands of transportation wonks who aren't cycling inclined? I'm about 2/3 through a library copy of the book, and can tell I'll need to buy my own.
