Carfree conference unveils logo

In case you haven’t heard, the international Towards Carfree Cities conference is headed to Portland this summer.

Here’s a preview of their very cool logo design that will be sprouting up on posters and postcards throughout Portland soon…

In other carfree news, the City of Portland kicks off a series of open houses tonight for their Sunday Parkways event. Here are the details:

    Sunday Parkways Open Houses
    Wednesday (2/6) 5:30 to 8pm
    Kaiser Town Hall, 3704 N Interstate Ave, 2nd floor ballroom

    Thursday (2/7) 5:30 to 8pm
    Chief Joseph Elementary School 2409 N. Saratoga

thanks for posting this, jonathan! the poster is designed by two local bikers, caleb freese and justin gorman. it\’s good to see this image start to pop up here and there. we\’re really proud of it.

They had a show up recently at Backspace, which caught Meghan\’s eye. The poster makes it feel like we\’re organizing a huge, fun party rather than just a conference, which is more than halfway true.
