Tonight's City Council session where Commissioner Adams was scheduled to present a bike safety resolution has been canceled.
According to Roland Chlapowski, due to members of Council being sick and unable to attend, there will not be a quorom for the 6:00 hearing.

Adams opts for Council vote on funding initiative

Last Friday, City Commissioner Sam Adams told the Portland Tribune that he has decided to not refer his Safe Sound and Green Streets transportation funding initiative to voters. Instead of including the proposal in the May primary elections, Adams will seek approval directly from City Council in January.

New bike path from Marine Drive to Airport completed

A new bike and pedestrian path that connects the Portland Airport to Marine Drive opened today.
As promised back in June, the new 12-foot wide, half-mile long asphalt pathway runs between Marine Drive and Northeast Frontage Road and connects with the existing bicycle and pedestrian path that serves PDX.
